The saw mill is located in Nacharam, near the E C I L area. If you come by, you’ll definitely hear the saws before you see the gate. There is sawdust on everything—the desks, the floor, and definitely on our clothes. It’s a noisy, messy place to work, but we like it. We’ve been at this location, 37819, for a long time. Cutting timber is what we know. We get big logs in and we turn them into whatever the customer needs. Sometimes the machines act up or the wood isn't exactly what we expected, but that's just part of dealing with natural materials. We don't have a big corporate structure. It’s just the owner and a handful of workers who have been here since the start. We spend our days measuring, cutting, and stacking wood. The air always smells like fresh pine or teak, which is one of the better parts of the job. People from around the neighborhood know us as the local saw mill. We don't do any big advertising. We just rely on the fact that we’ve been here and people know we do a decent job. It’s hard on the hands and the back, but it’s a living. We just want to keep the blades sharp and the wood moving out the door. No fancy talk, just honest labor in a busy part of town.
