Our place, Spiral Tubes Private Limited, is situated at Plot No-P-4/3 on Road No.16 in Ida Nacharam. If you come by, you’ll definitely hear us before you see us. Making metal tubes involves a lot of heavy machinery and the sound of steel hitting steel. It’s a loud, busy environment every single day. The floor at Plot No-P-4/3 is usually covered in metal shavings, even though we try to clean it up. We’ve got big rolls of metal that get fed into the machines to make the spirals. It’s hard work and it gets pretty hot in the shed, especially in the afternoons. Ida Nacharam is a real working-class area, and we fit right in. We don't have a fancy lobby or a coffee machine for guests. If someone comes to visit, they usually just stand by the main door and wait for a break in the noise. We’ve been on Road No.16 for a while, and we know the routine of the area. The trucks come in early to load up the finished tubes. Most of us have been working together for a long time, so we don't need to say much to get the job done. It’s just about keeping the machines running and making sure the specs are right. We aren't trying to be the biggest company out there, just a reliable one that shows up every morning. We just focus on the metal.
