Pathnsitu Biotechnologies Private Limited

Our lab, Pathnsitu Biotechnologies Private Limited, is tucked away on Road 5 in the Nacharam IDA, specifically at Plot 10/8. It’s an industrial area, so there’s always noise from the nearby factories. Inside, it’s a bit different because we have to keep things cleaner than the street outside. We work with biological samples and slides, so it’s a lot of looking through microscopes and moving small amounts of liquid around. It's not as exciting as it sounds in movies. Mostly, it’s just following the same steps over and over to make sure the results are okay. The air conditioning is always running because the equipment gets hot and needs to stay cool. We wear white coats, but they usually get stained with dyes after a week or two. The break room is small, just a table and a kettle. We take turns making coffee. Sometimes the power goes out in the estate, and we have to wait for the generator to kick in so our samples don't spoil. It’s a specialized kind of work, and not many people in the neighborhood really know what goes on inside. We get our supplies delivered in big plastic crates. Usually, the courier guy gets lost looking for Road 5 because the signs aren't very clear around here. We just go out to the gate and wave him down. We have stacks of notebooks filled with data that we have to update by hand every single day. It’s a quiet place once the machines are off.
