We set up our office at H.No.4-72/3 on the Kmm X Road in Kodad. It is a busy spot in the Nalgonda district of Andhra Pradesh. Being right on the crossroad means there is always a lot of activity outside our door. We deal with cement every day and it’s a business that keeps us very busy. We have a lot of people stopping by to ask about prices or delivery times. The office itself is quite plain, mostly just filled with ledgers and a few chairs for guests. We don't bother with a lot of fancy furniture because we are usually too busy working. Kodad is a growing town and you can see new construction every time you walk down the street. We feel like we are a small part of that growth. Sometimes the phone doesn't stop ringing and we have to juggle three things at once. It can be stressful, but it’s the life we chose. We drink plenty of tea and keep the fan on high during the summer months. It’s a practical way to earn a living. We don't have a big corporate structure or a bunch of managers. We just do the work ourselves and make sure the customers get what they need for their building sites. It’s a local business run by local people who know the area well. This street is always noisy, but we are used to it.
