Mumtaz Medical

Mumtaz Medical is a small, local place located at 16-3-435 in the Chanchalguda neighborhood. It is a part of town with a lot of history and very narrow, winding streets. Our shop itself isn't very large, but we manage to pack a lot of inventory into the space we have. There are wooden shelves reaching all the way to the high ceiling, filled with different medicines, bandages, and basic supplies. It can be a bit of a tight squeeze when more than two or three people come inside at the same time. We know most of the neighbors in this area by their first names. Chanchalguda has its own specific rhythm, and we are right in the middle of it. The floor is made of old stone and the main wooden counter is worn down from many years of constant use. We do not have a fancy computer system that automates everything; we still write a lot of things down by hand in our ledgers. It feels more personal that way to us. There is a small metal fan that hums in the corner to keep the air moving during the hot months. We aren't trying to be the biggest or most modern pharmacy in the city. We just want to be the one that is open and available when the local people need something. Usually, the morning starts with checking the stock levels and seeing what needs to be ordered for the next afternoon. It is a quiet, steady kind of work, even with the noise of the street life just outside.
