Modern Office Equipment Co

The shop is right on the ground floor of 4-1-902, just a short walk from Surya Cinema Hall on Tilak Road. Being in Abids means there is always something happening outside the door. We spend most of our time moving desks and chairs around to show people how they look. It’s not just big office tables either. We have those small cabinets for files and different types of chairs that people use for work. Some days are slow and we just sit and watch the movie crowds go by the cinema, but then we get a big order and everyone is busy lifting things. The walls could use a new coat of paint maybe, but we are too busy managing the stock that comes in every Tuesday. We get a lot of office managers coming in trying to find something that fits in their small rooms. I usually tell them to measure twice because these desks are heavier than they look once they are inside. We have some old calculators and typewriters in the back too, though nobody asks for those much these days. Most people want the new stuff, the rolling chairs and the sleek metal cupboards. It gets quite hot in the afternoons but the fan keeps us going. We’ve been here long enough that the neighbors all know us by name and stop by to say hello.
