Power Tech Hyd is located over in MIE. If you know the industrial estate, you know it’s mostly just factories and warehouses one after another. Our place is simple. We don’t have a big fancy sign or anything, just the name and the work we do. It’s a lot of hydraulic stuff, which means there is always some oil on the floor or a wrench lying around somewhere it shouldn't be. We spend most of our time looking at parts and making sure things fit together like they are supposed to. It’s a lot of manual work. We don’t really have a lot of visitors, just the usual delivery guys and people picking up orders. MIE is a busy place, especially in the mornings when everyone is starting their shifts. We get here early and stay until the job is finished. The office part of the building is small, just enough for a couple of desks and a phone that rings more than we’d like. It’s a bit dusty, being an industrial area and all. We don’t have any polished floors. It’s just concrete and hard work. We like it that way because it means we are actually getting stuff done. No one is trying to impress anyone here. We just handle the hydraulic tech and keep moving. We eat our lunch together on some old chairs near the back. It is just a normal day for everyone involved.
