At Maytas Infra Limited, Hyderabad, we work out of the second floor of 6-3-668-10-45 in Durga Nagar Colony. It is right in the heart of Punjagutta. It’s a very lively part of town with a lot of shops and people everywhere. We have been in this office for a good while, and it definitely looks like people work here. You will see piles of project plans and maybe some empty tea cups on the desks. It’s a functional office, not a place meant for showing off. Since we deal with infrastructure, there is always a new drawing or a schedule to look at. The stairs are a bit steep, especially if you are carrying boxes, but we are used to it by now. Being on the second floor lets us look out at the street when we need a break from the screen. Punjagutta is a busy place, so getting to our different project sites across Hyderabad can be a challenge with the traffic, but it is central. We keep things very simple here. We have our computers and our files and we just get on with it. There is no corporate vibe at all. We just come in, do the work for whatever project is active, and then head home. Sometimes we stay late when a deadline is coming up, but that is just part of the job. It’s a practical office for practical people.
