Mamta Clinic

We are situated over on N.F.C. Road in the Mallapur area, near Nacharam. It’s a part of town that has a lot going on, so there’s always something to see out the window. The clinic itself is quite basic. We have the usual stuff like a scale, some chairs, and a cupboard full of supplies. It’s not the fanciest place, but it serves its purpose for the people living around Mallapur. We start our day early, usually getting the floor mopped before the first person arrives. The N.F.C. Road can get quite dusty, so we spend a lot of time cleaning. We get all kinds of visitors, from young workers to the elderly folks who live nearby. Most people just walk here because they live in the neighborhood. We don’t have a fancy computer system; we mostly use paper files and notebooks to keep track of things. It’s easier that way for us. The walls are decorated with a few old calendars and some health posters that have been there for years. When it rains, the sound on the roof is quite loud, which makes it hard to hear sometimes. We just carry on with what needs doing. It’s a small operation with just a few of us handling everything from the front door to the back room. We like the area and the people are generally friendly. This is just our daily life here.
