We work with chemical granules here. It’s the kind of work that leaves you feeling a bit grimy by the end of the shift. We have these large mixing vats and machines that turn raw materials into the little pellets. The air has a faint chemical scent, but we keep the ventilation going as much as possible. We have a small crew, and everyone knows what their job is. There isn't a lot of talking when the machines are running because it gets quite loud. We usually take our breaks in the shade of the building when the sun is out. The neighborhood is mostly residential and other small businesses, so it feels a bit more relaxed than the big industrial zones. We focus on getting the mix right and making sure the bags are sealed properly before they go out. It’s not fancy, but it’s what we do. The office part is just one room with a couple of computers and a fan that wobbles a little. It takes twenty minutes to lock everything up at the end of the day.
