Vert Garments Pvt. Ltd. is located on the ground floor of Plot No. 57 in Thanasha Nagar. It is a quiet enough spot in Manikonda where we handle the daily business of making clothes. We have been working out of this HIG space for some time now. Most days are filled with the sound of sewing machines and people moving rolls of fabric around the floor. It gets a bit crowded when a new shipment arrives, but we manage to keep everything organized. We do a lot of different garments here. Sometimes it's a big order for a specific style and other times it’s smaller batches. The team is small but they know what they are doing with a needle and thread. We aren't a massive factory with thousands of workers. It’s more of a local operation where everyone knows each other’s names. Manikonda has changed a lot since we started, with more buildings going up all the time. We just keep our heads down and focus on the stitching and the patterns. If you come by, you’ll see heaps of shirts or trousers being packed into boxes. It’s honest work. The lighting in the workshop is bright so we don’t miss any loose threads. We don’t do much advertising; word usually gets around among the people who need what we make. It’s just how we do things here.
