The Ramco Cements Ltd.

The Ramco Cements Ltd. has an office at Plot No 22 on the 3rd floor of Sun Towers in Sector 1. This is right in the middle of Huda Enclave, Hi Tec City. It’s a very modern area, which is a bit different from our storage yards. Being on the third floor, we get a decent view of the traffic below. Hi Tec City is always moving, and it can be a bit overwhelming sometimes. We spend our days dealing with a lot of paperwork and phone calls. Even though the company is large, this specific office feels quite local. There are about ten of us here. We deal with the logistics and the distribution side of things. The elevator in Sun Towers is sometimes slow, so we end up taking the stairs more often than not. It’s a clean office, but we still have samples of cement bags sitting in the corners. You can’t really escape the nature of the business even in a fancy building. We drink a lot of coffee while staring at computer screens. We don't really do the big corporate meetings here; it’s more about figuring out which truck is where and when the next load is arriving at the construction sites. It’s a lot of coordination and talking to drivers. People think it’s fancy because of the Hi Tec City address, but we are just regular workers trying to keep the supply chain moving.
