Our studio is located at House No 6-1-72 in the Maha Lakshmi Meadows building. We are right on the Lakdi Ka Pul Main Road, very close to the HDFC Bank. If you know the Khairatabad area, you know how hectic the traffic gets around the bridge. The office is often filled with the sound of pencils scratching on paper and the hum of computers. We have a lot of architectural models sitting on the shelves, some of them a bit dusty from sitting there so long. The space is a bit tight because of all the drawing boards we have set up. We usually have some music playing softly in the background to drown out the noise of the buses outside. Most of our time is spent looking at site plans and discussing materials. It’s a creative space, but it’s also quite practical. There are rolls of paper tucked into every corner. We don't have a formal lobby, so you just walk right into the middle of where the work is happening. The staff usually brings lunch from home, and the smell of home-cooked food fills the air around one o'clock. It’s a friendly place, and we’ve been here long enough that we know all the local shopkeepers. Working in Lakdi Ka Pul means we are always in the middle of the action. It’s a bit chaotic, but it suits the way we work.
