M M Jewellers / Motilal Jewellers

We are right next to Ajis Plaza in the Feel Khana area. People call us M M Jewellers or Motilal Jewellers depending on how long they have known us. It is an old part of town and we have been sitting in this same spot for years. Jewelry is what we know. My father worked here before me and now I am behind the counter most days. It is not a huge showroom like the ones you see in the mall. We keep things simple and talk to our customers like neighbors. Some people come in just to chat or ask about a repair. We handle a lot of small jobs that the big stores won't touch. It gets pretty crowded in the street outside especially during the festival season. You just walk past the plaza and you will see our sign. We keep our tools in the back for the fine work. It takes a steady hand and a lot of patience to do this every day. We don't use a lot of fancy lights to make things look better than they are. What you see is what you get. We appreciate the people who keep coming back year after year. It feels good to be part of the community here. Sometimes the electricity goes out and we just sit in the doorway until it comes back. That is just how life goes in this neighborhood. We keep the doors open for anyone.
