Our place is down in the cellar of the Chenoy Trade Centre. We are at Number 23, on Park Lane in Secunderabad. Being in a basement shop means we don't get much natural light, so we rely on the fluorescent bulbs all day. M M Creations Pvt Ltd is a busy spot despite being tucked away. Park Lane is always crowded with people looking for electronics or clothes, and plenty of them wander down into the Trade Centre. The air down here stays a bit cooler than on the street, which is nice during the summer. We have piles of work everywhere, mostly fabrics and half-finished projects. It is a bit of a maze with all the other shops in the cellar, but everyone knows where we are. The sounds from the corridor are usually just footsteps and the occasional trolley rolling by. We spend a lot of time on the phone or working on the machines. It is a functional space, not somewhere you go for the decor. We’ve been in the Chenoy Trade Centre for a while, and we’ve seen shops come and go. We just keep doing our thing. Sometimes the smell of food from the nearby stalls drifts down the stairs. It’s a tight-knit community of sellers down here. We close up when the main gates of the center start to rattle shut. It can get a bit stuffy when the building is full, but we have a small table fan that keeps the air moving around our workspace.
