Our shop, Luminiere, is right on Kachiguda Station Road, at No 3-3-54/5. Being so close to the station means there is always a lot of noise and people rushing past the front door. It’s a lively spot, to say the least. We handle lighting and fixtures. The shop is filled with all sorts of lamps and bulbs, some hanging from the ceiling and others tucked into corners. It’s a bit of a maze sometimes when we get new stock in. My brother and I usually handle the customers. We don't have a big marketing plan; we just open up in the morning and see who comes in. Sometimes it’s someone looking for a single bulb for their kitchen, and other days it’s a contractor needing a whole set for a house. The tea stall next door is where we spend our breaks. We’ve been in Kachiguda for years, and we’ve seen the traffic get worse and the buildings get taller. The shop isn't modern or anything, just a place where we keep the lights on—literally. We spend a lot of time cleaning dust off the glass shades. It’s a lot of work to keep things looking decent with the road dust, but we do our best. We don't use big words to describe what we sell. They are just lights. If you need something to brighten up a room, we probably have it.
