If you're looking for Lifeclinic India, you’ll have to head up to the second floor of UMA Millenium at 1-6-34 in Parklane. It’s one of those spots that you might miss if you aren't looking for the sign. Being on the second floor means we get a bit of exercise every day, and so do the patients, though there is a lift for when it’s needed. The Parklane area is usually humming with activity, which we can hear through the windows. Our clinic isn't huge. It’s a modest space where we’ve set up the reception and a couple of consultation rooms. We’ve been here for a while, so the walls have that lived-in look and the furniture is comfortable but definitely not new. Most people who come in are regulars from the local area who know the staff by name. We spend a lot of our time managing the schedule, which never quite goes as planned. Someone is always running late, or a conversation takes longer than we thought. We don't have any of those corporate mission statements hanging on the walls. We just have the things we need to do our work. It’s a lot of checking charts, talking to people about their health, and making sure the files don't get mixed up. At the end of the day, we tidy up the waiting area, shut down the computers, and head downstairs to the street.
