L.I.C Of India

This office for L.I.C of India is located in Sikh Village, which is part of the Cantonment Area in Secunderabad. We are at Plot No-13 in the L.I.C Colony. It is a pretty quiet spot for the most part, though it gets busy when people come in with their paperwork. We spend our days dealing with files, folders, and a lot of stamps. There are a few desks pushed together and the ceiling fans are always running to keep the heat away. It is not a very modern place. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint. We have been in this location for many years now. People from the colony and the surrounding areas come here to talk about their papers or ask questions. Sometimes the internet goes out and we have to do everything by hand, which slows us down. We drink tea in the afternoons and try to get through the stacks of forms on our desks. It is just a regular government-style office environment. We don't have any fancy carpets or soft chairs. It is all very practical and basic. Most of the staff has been here a long time, so we know how the system works. We just try to help folks get their stuff sorted so they can go about their day. It is a lot of routine work, but it is what we do in this corner of Secunderabad.
