L V Prasad Eye Institute is located on Road No. 2, right on the marg that was named after the institute itself in Banjara Hills. This is a very busy part of Hyderabad. There are always people coming through the gates from early morning until late at night. The hallways are long and usually filled with patients waiting for their appointments. It’s a big place, but it doesn't feel like a corporate office. It feels like a place where people are constantly moving. We have different departments spread across the floors. Outside, the traffic on Road No. 2 is constant, with cars and rickshaws honking. We have a lot of glass windows, so you can see the greenery of Banjara Hills, but inside the focus is always on the work at hand. There are many desks where staff handle the registration and the medical records. It’s a very clean environment, though it shows the wear and tear of having so many visitors every day. We don’t have time for much else besides looking after the people who come in. The staff often eat in the canteen because there isn't much time to go out. It is a quiet kind of busy inside the clinic areas, quite different from the noise of the main road. We keep the lights on and the doors open for anyone who needs help with their vision. It’s been at this location for many years now.
