Mayur Abrasives

Mayur Abrasives is located over in Sai Baba Colony, right near the metro station. You can hear the trains passing by every few minutes. It’s a convenient spot for getting around, but the street can get really blocked up with traffic. We deal with all sorts of abrasives, the kind of stuff people use for grinding and polishing. It's a dusty business, no two ways about it. We’ve given up on trying to keep the office perfectly clean. There’s always a fine layer of grit on the desks. We are just a small team here. We spend our mornings checking the inventory and the afternoons dealing with walk-ins or deliveries. It’s a noisy place, especially when we’re moving the heavier items around. We don't have a big fancy sign, just the name on the front. People who need our stuff usually find us through word of mouth or because they saw us while walking to the metro. The weather affects us quite a bit; when it rains, the shop gets a bit damp and we have to move everything away from the entrance. We aren't doing anything revolutionary. We just sell these products to people who need them for their own workshops or factories. It’s basic, steady work that keeps us on our feet all day long. We just take it one day at a time and try to keep the stock levels right. Sometimes we run out of something and have to wait for the next shipment, which is just part of the job.
