Hari Welding Works

Our shop, Hari Welding Works, is located in Prashanth Nagar at Gate No 4, which is right in the Balanagar and Kukatpally area. It is a very industrial part of town, so the sound of welding and grinding is just part of the background noise here. We are at 5-5-35/191 2 and the shop is almost always filled with the smell of hot metal and sparks flying. We do a lot of small repairs and custom ironwork for the people in the neighborhood. It is a hot job, especially in the afternoons when the sun hits the metal roof, but we are used to it by now. We don't have a big office or any secretaries; you just come to the gate and talk to whoever is holding the torch. The floor is usually covered in bits of rod and steel scraps, and we try to sweep up once a week if we have the time. It is a small family-run operation and we’ve been at this location for a good while. We don't really have a website or anything like that because we are too busy with the actual work. People just bring their broken gates or window frames to us and we fix them up as best as we can. It’s not a glamorous job, but it’s what we know how to do. We just keep our heads down and stay busy from morning until sunset.
