We’ve been running Bharat Aluminium from Balakrishna Nagar for a good while now. Our shop is at house 4/35/487 in Kukatpally. If you come by you’ll see stacks of aluminium sections and frames leaning against the walls. We do a lot of cutting and fitting. Aluminium is a clean metal to work with but it’s sharp. You have to be careful. We make windows, partitions, and all kinds of frames. Sometimes people come in with just a rough drawing on a piece of paper. We figure it out from there. The noise of the saw is something we don't even notice anymore. It's just part of the day. We have a small table where we do all the measurements. Kukatpally is a busy area so there's always someone popping in to ask for a small repair or a piece of scrap. We don't mind. We grew up around here and know the neighborhood well. It's a simple setup. No air conditioning or fancy chairs. Just the tools and the metal. We work until the light goes and then we lock up the shutters. It’s physical work and your hands get dirty and metallic smelling. But it’s what we do. We just focus on making sure the cuts are straight and the joints fit right. That is enough for us to feel like we did a proper job.
