Arathi Engineering Coach Builders

Sai Baba Nagar Colony is where we do the coach building. It's a lot of steel and welding sparks. Making bodies for buses or trucks isn't easy. You have to measure everything twice or it won't fit on the chassis. We’ve been at Plot No 1 for a while. It’s a messy place, filled with scraps of metal and welding machines. Sometimes the rain makes it hard to work, but we manage. My team is small. We’ve worked together for years. We aren't trying to be the biggest company, just doing the work that comes in. People around Kukatpally know us. We see the same faces every week. It's a lot of hammering and loud noises all day. Most of us go home pretty tired. The address is H No 5/8/81/13. It's right in the colony, so we have to be careful about not blocking the road with the big frames. It gets crowded when we have two or three coaches being built at once. We don't have a secretary, so we just answer the phone ourselves when we can hear it over the grinders. It’s simple work, but it takes a lot of physical effort to get the metal to bend the right way. We just keep our heads down and finish the projects. We've been at this street for a long time and we like the community feel of the neighborhood even with all the noise we make.
