We are over here in Motinagar, right across from the Vijetha Theater. If you know the Saradhi Society area, you probably passed by us many times without thinking much of it. The shop gets a bit messy with fabric scraps and sketches lying around on the big table. My desk is usually covered in measuring tapes and half-finished projects because we always have something going on. People stop in after seeing a movie at the theater sometimes. It is just me and a couple of others trying to get things done right. We don't have a fancy showroom or anything like that. It’s just a workspace with a lot of noise from the sewing machines. Sometimes the light in the back flickers, but we’re used to it. The neighborhood is busy, especially in the evenings when the movie crowds come out. We’ve been at this spot for a while now. Most days we are just busy with the small details that people don't always notice. It gets hot in the afternoons, so we keep the fan running full blast. Usually, we are just drinking tea and looking at patterns while the traffic goes by outside. It isn't a glamorous job, but it’s what we do. We try to keep things simple here. If you are looking for the place, just find the theater and look across the street toward Plot 88. You’ll see us there, probably working on something new.
