Kolleri Constrcution

We are out here in Vissakoderu, which is part of the Palakoderu mandal. K Jayababu is the one who really keeps things moving. He’s the son of Apparao and he’s been around construction his whole life. This is a family-style setup in the West Godavari district. We don't have a big fancy office in a skyscraper. We work where the building is happening. Most of the time we are covered in dust or checking on materials. It's honest work. We build things for people in the local area. Sometimes it's a small house and other times it's something bigger. We know the local guys who do the masonry and the plumbing. It’s a tight-knit group. The weather in Andhra can be tough when you’re outside all day, but we get used to it. We don’t use big words to describe what we do. We just take the bricks and the cement and we make sure the walls are straight. People in the village know us. If there’s a problem, they just come and find us. We don’t have a marketing team or anything like that. It’s just us and our tools. We’ve been doing this for years and we plan to keep doing it as long as there is work to be done. It’s just how we make a living. We keep our tools clean and our heads down.
