The clinic is over in Anandnagar, Khairatabad, at 6-3-609/4. It is a fairly busy area, and we see people coming in and out all day long. My space is filled with medical charts and books from my time studying at NIMS and doing my MD. It’s not a very big clinic, so things can feel a bit tight when the waiting area is full. I spend most of my time talking to people and trying to figure out what’s going on with their health. The Khairatabad traffic can be a nightmare, so I usually get here early to beat the rush and get everything ready. There is always a lot of writing to do, keeping track of history and notes. The walls are covered with my degrees, which I suppose is standard for this kind of work. We don't have fancy decorations, just the chairs, the desk, and the equipment I need. Sometimes it gets a bit loud outside because of the city sounds, but we just keep going. It’s a very routine sort of day, seeing one person after another and making sure I haven't missed anything important. My desk is usually a bit of a mess with pens and papers, but I know where everything is. People in the neighborhood know the spot, and we’ve become a part of the local scenery over the years. It is just a quiet place for medicine in a loud city.
