Our office is on the 5th floor of Greentech Square, which is Plot No:19 in Phase-III of Kavurihills, Hyderabad. It’s a bit of a climb if the elevator is acting up, but the view of the city from up here isn't too bad. We work on power systems, which mostly means a lot of time spent in front of screens, looking at technical drawings and spreadsheets. The office is usually filled with the sound of keyboards clicking and people talking on their phones to suppliers or site engineers. It’s a bit different from a factory floor, but it’s still hard work in its own way. Kavurihills is a busy area, so there is always some construction going on nearby or traffic jams on the main road below. We have a small pantry where we all gather for lunch, usually complaining about the commute or the latest project delay. We don't really go for the high-pressure corporate vibe. Most of the people here are engineers who just want to solve problems and get the designs right. Sometimes we have to stay late to finish a proposal, and the office gets real quiet once the sun sets over Hyderabad. We’ve been at this Greentech Square location for a while now, and it’s become a second home for most of us. We just focus on the technical details and hope the power systems we plan out work exactly like they are supposed to.
