Kattedan Small Scale Manufacturers Assn.

You can find us at Plot No. 15 in the Kattedan Industrial Estate. This is where the small manufacturers around here get together. Being in an industrial estate means there is always the sound of machinery and trucks moving in the background. Kattedan has a lot of small factories making all sorts of things, from plastic goods to food items. Our association is here to give these owners a place to talk. We aren't a big government body. We are just a group of people running small businesses who want to make sure things run smoothly in the estate. The office is pretty basic, just a few rooms where we can sit down and go over things like electricity issues or road conditions in the area. It gets quite dusty and busy around here during the day. We have been part of the Hyderabad industrial scene for a long time. It’s not always easy running a small factory, so having a collective group helps. We deal with the practical side of things. If there's a problem with the water supply or a new regulation, we discuss it together. Most of us have known each other for years. It’s a working-class environment, very hands-on. We don't do much in the way of fancy events, just regular meetings to keep the estate going. It is just about keeping our factories running.
