Kattedan is an industrial zone, so there is always a lot of noise and the smell of various chemicals in the air. We deal with glues and adhesives, so the warehouse can get a bit sticky if a container leaks. It is a hot place to work in the summer because of the metal roofs overhead. My day is mostly about checking the barrels and making sure the labels are on right. We have trucks coming in from all over the place to pick up orders. The staff here is small, and we mostly just get on with the job without much talk. The floors are concrete and have some old stains on them. We don't have a fancy office or nice furniture. It’s just desks, some old fans, and stacks of paperwork. The tea lady comes around twice a day, and that is when we usually take a breather. It’s a busy life in a gritty part of the city. We have been here for a long time now. Most of the neighbors are also in manufacturing. It’s a practical place for people who don’t mind a bit of hard work and industrial smells. We just focus on keeping the stock moving out the door.
