Basant Engineering Works

Kattedan is a busy place and we’ve been here at Plot No 4 for a good while now. The workshop stays pretty loud with the machines running most of the day. You can find us easily enough near Sy No 73/P if you know the area. It’s mostly just us doing the usual engineering jobs that come through the door. Sometimes the floors get greasy and the air smells like cut metal, but that’s just how an engineering shop is. We don’t have any fancy reception area or anything like that. People usually just walk right in. The sun hits the front of the shed quite hard in the afternoons. It gets hot inside. We’ve got some old tools that still work better than the new stuff. It’s not a quiet job. We spend most of our time looking at blueprints or fixing parts that didn’t come out right the first time. The neighbors around here in Kattedan are mostly doing the same kind of industrial work. There’s a lot of truck traffic on the main road which makes getting things in and out a bit of a hassle sometimes. We just keep our heads down and get the work done. If a machine breaks, we fix it. That’s about it for what goes on here. No big stories or anything, just a lot of grease and hard work every day of the week.
