Karthik Geotextiles

Karthik Geotextiles is located at No. 419 on Street No. 9, right near the RTC Cross Roads. This area is a major hub, so it’s easy to get to, but the traffic can be a nightmare during peak hours. Our space is basically a large warehouse with a small office partitioned off in the corner. We deal with geotextile materials, which come in these massive, heavy rolls that take up most of our floor space. Moving them around requires a bit of muscle and sometimes a forklift if we can get it positioned right. The office part is pretty simple, with just a couple of chairs and a desk that’s usually covered in samples and invoices. We don't have air conditioning in the main area, so it gets pretty warm during the summer months. Most of the people who come by are contractors or engineers looking for specific fabrics for their projects. We spend a lot of time on the phone or out in the back checking the inventory. Street No. 9 is relatively narrow, so loading trucks can be a bit of a challenge sometimes. We’ve been here for several years and have gotten used to the quirks of the building and the neighborhood. It’s just a practical place where we handle industrial fabrics and get on with our day. We usually lock up around six and head home before the roads get too clogged.
