Famous Plastics

We are based in Uppal Ida, right near the Modern Bread Company. You can usually smell the bread baking in the mornings, which is a nice break from the usual smells of an industrial area. Famous Plastics has been operating from this unit for quite some time now. It’s a noisy place with the machines running, but we’ve grown used to the hum. The floor is usually covered in scraps, and we spend a good chunk of the afternoon sweeping up. It gets pretty hot in here during the summer months, but we have a few fans that help a little bit. We aren't trying to be anything we aren't. We just make things out of plastic and send them where they need to go. Most of our guys have been here since the start. We know the machines better than we know our own cars. It’s a lot of manual work, lifting and packing and checking. It’s not a clean office job, that’s for sure. We have our lunches together in the small break area when we get a chance. Sometimes the power goes out in the area, and we just sit and wait it out. It’s part of being in Uppal Ida. We just keep our heads down and do what we need to do. It’s not flashy, but it’s what we know how to do, day in and day out, without making a big fuss about it.
