Our place is out in Cherlapally, specifically at Plot No. 149, A & B in Phase-II of the I.D.A. area. Being an industrial development area, it’s mostly factories and warehouses out here. We have a fair amount of space across the two plots, which we need because rock drills are not exactly small or light. The yard is usually full of steel parts and heavy machinery waiting to be moved. It’s a long commute for most of us, coming from the city, but you get used to the drive after a few months. The air is always a bit heavy with the smell of grease and metal dust, which is pretty standard for Jupiter Rock Drills. We have a small office building on-site where we handle the billing and the drawings, but most of the action happens in the shed area. We aren't big on fancy meetings or long presentations. Most of our decisions are made standing around a piece of equipment with a wrench in hand. The workers have been with us for a long time, and we all know how the machines are supposed to sound when they’re running right. Sometimes the power goes out in the afternoon, so we just sit outside and wait for it to come back on. It’s a simple, hardworking environment. We don’t try to be something we’re not. We just make drills and try to keep the customers happy.
