T R Engineering Works

T R Engineering Works is situated over on Doolapally Road. We actually take up two plots, No 673 and 674, in the Phase V Extension. Having that extra space helps because some of the parts we work on are quite large. It’s mostly metal fabrication and mechanical repairs here. The road outside can get pretty muddy when it rains, making it tough for the heavy equipment to move. We’ve been here since the extension was first opened up. There are a lot of newer shops around us now, but we were one of the first ones on this block. The roof leaks a little in one corner, so we have to move the tools when there’s a storm. We don't mind it much. We have a small office tucked away in the front, but nobody really sits in there for long. Most of the time, we are out on the shop floor. We use a lot of old-school techniques that the younger guys don't always learn in school these days. It works for us and folks seem to keep coming back with more work. We don't have a big sign, just the name painted on the gate. If you reach the end of the paved part of Doolapally Road, you’ve gone too far. We’re just a bunch of regular guys who enjoy working with our hands and making things fit together properly.
