Shree Ram Fastners

Shree Ram Fastners is situated on Pipeline Road in the I.D.A Jeedimetla area. Our plot number is 7 and the door number is 7-24. This is a big industrial zone, so it’s full of factories and warehouses. We deal with nuts, bolts, and all kinds of fasteners. The place is quite loud because of the heavy machinery nearby and the trucks passing by. Our floor is usually covered in metal bits and some oil. We spend the whole day counting pieces and filling boxes. It’s a lot of manual labor and the air can get quite hot in the afternoons. Subash Nagar is where most of our workers live. We don't have a showroom; it’s more of a warehouse and workshop. People come here when they need specific parts for their projects. We keep a lot of stock on the shelves so we don't run out. It’s a straightforward business with no frills. We use old scales to weigh the bigger orders. Everyone who works here knows the sounds of the machines by heart. We take our lunch breaks together in the small room at the back. It’s a hard-working environment and we just focus on getting the orders out of the door. The trucks come and go at all hours. We have to keep an eye on the gate to make sure the deliveries are on time.
