Patel Timbers

Over at Plot No.61/B in Phase-III of the IDA, you will find Patel Timbers. This is where we spend all our time, surrounded by piles of wood and the sound of saws. The IDA is a big place, but Phase-III is where we have our yard. It’s a very practical sort of business. We get the big logs in, and we spend our days cutting them down to the sizes people need for their houses or their furniture. There is always a lot of sawdust in the air and that fresh smell of cut timber, which I personally like. We don't have a polished showroom with air conditioning. We just have the yard and the sheds where we keep the wood dry. Patel Timbers has been a name around here for a while, and people know they can just come to the plot and see what we have in stock. The work is physical and can be tiring, especially when we are moving the heavy teak or hardwood around. We have a small crew of men who are good with their hands and know how to judge a piece of wood just by looking at it. We don't do much marketing; we just rely on people knowing where we are in Phase-III. It’s honest, straightforward work that keeps us busy from dawn to dusk at Plot No.61/B.
