Our place is over at D-61 in Phase-1 of the IDA. If you come by, you’ll see pipes of all sizes stacked up in the yard. It’s not the most organized look, but we know exactly where each type is hidden. The ground is a bit uneven, so you have to watch your step when it’s muddy. We’ve been here since the area was mostly empty fields, and now it’s all factories and warehouses. Inside the main shed, it’s quite dark, but we have some big lights we turn on when we’re loading a truck. Most of us have been working together for years, so we don't need to talk much to get the job done. We just know who does what. The office is just a small room partitioned off with some plywood. It stays a bit cooler in there, which is nice during the summer months. We don't spend money on fancy brochures or things like that. If someone needs pipes, they usually just show up or give us a call. Sometimes the delivery schedules get messed up because of the rain or a truck breaking down, but we deal with it as it comes. It’s heavy work, moving those long sections around, so everyone is usually pretty tired by the time five o'clock rolls around. We just lock up the gates and head home, ready to do it again the next day. It is a simple and quiet life here for us.
