You can find Adarsh Sacks at Plot No 12a in the Phase IV Extension of the IDA. This part of the industrial development area is always buzzing with activity. We focus on making sacks, which means the factory is filled with rolls of material and big sewing machines. The noise of the needles going through heavy fabric is the background music of our day. We have stacks of finished sacks piled up high in the corners, waiting to be baled and sent out. It’s a bit cramped sometimes when we have a big order to finish, but we manage the space as best we can. The floor is usually covered in little threads and scraps of plastic or fabric. Our office is just a simple desk near the front door where we keep track of the daily counts. It’s a small operation, and most of us have been working together for years. We know the regular drivers who come to pick up the loads. The air in the IDA can be a bit heavy, but we have big shutter doors that stay open most of the day. We don't have any fancy meeting rooms or air conditioning in the back. It’s just a place where we come to work and make sure the bags are stitched right. When the power goes out, which happens sometimes, we take a break and sit outside on the steps until it comes back.
