We operate out of Plot No 14 in J K Nagar, right in the Subashnagar area. It’s a practical spot for a buildtech business because we have enough room for some of the equipment and the various materials we use. Most days start pretty early here, usually well before the sun is fully up, so we can get a head start on the loading. The office is just a small, basic room at the front of the plot with a couple of desks and a lot of blueprints rolled up in the corners. It’s often a bit dusty because of the nature of the work, but we don't really mind it much. We spend a lot more time out on the actual sites than we do sitting behind a desk anyway. When we are here, it’s usually to talk about the upcoming projects or to try and fix something that broke on the job the day before. We have a small crew of guys who have been with us for a long time now. We know each other's habits and how we like to work, which makes the long days go by a bit easier. Sometimes the weather doesn't cooperate and we have to hang around the shop waiting for the rain to stop so we can get back to it. We drink a lot of chai and talk about how much Subashnagar has changed over the years. We just try to do honest work and keep moving.
