J J Solar is located at 4 2 611 in Ramkoti. If you know the area, you know it gets quite crowded around here during the day. We have been in this spot for a while, dealing with all things related to solar power. It’s a straightforward business. We have panels and parts sitting around. The space is a bit cramped because of all the equipment, but we make it work. Most of our day is spent talking to people who want to save a bit on their electricity bills. They come in with a lot of questions about how the sun can actually power their houses. We just explain it simply, without all the technical jargon that usually confuses everyone. The weather in Ramkoti can get really hot, which I guess is good for the business we are in. A lot of time is also spent out on sites, checking roofs and seeing where things should go. It’s physical work and sometimes we come back pretty tired in the evening. The office is just a place to keep the books and meet people. We don’t have a big sign or anything flashy. Just a door and a desk. We’ve lived in this community for a long time, so we know most of the people walking by. It feels like a neighborhood shop more than anything else. We just take it one day at a time and see what needs to be fixed.
