Our place is right on the Mumbai Highway in Kukatpally, just across from the Metro Cash & Carry. If you know the area, you know how loud the traffic gets there. We spend a lot of time watching the trucks go by while we get ready for long-distance trips. Shifting things across state lines is a lot of paperwork and driving. We have been at Plot 7-74 for quite some time now. It’s a practical setup, nothing too pretty to look at, but it works for what we do. We mostly deal with big loads that need to go far away. Sometimes we are up late loading the containers because the highway gets a bit clearer at night. The dust from the road is always coming in, so we spend a lot of time cleaning things off. It is just a few of us here making sure the drivers know where they are going. We don’t have a big corporate team, just regular people who know how to tie down a load so it doesn't rattle or break. The sun hits the front of the office pretty hard in the afternoons, so we usually hide in the back until it cools down. It’s honest work, even if it’s a bit messy with all the bubble wrap and tape laying around everywhere. We just focus on the trucks and the road ahead and try to stay organized as we handle the day's tasks.
