You can find us at No. 5-5-35/32 B in Prashanth Nagar, right in the Kukatpally industrial estate area. Being in an IE means there’s always some noise from the factories nearby, like machines humming or trucks idling. Inside our lab, it’s a lot quieter. We have a lot of glass jars and machines sitting on the benches. We spend the day looking at samples and writing down numbers in our logbooks. It’s a lot of sitting and waiting for results sometimes. The walls are painted a plain white, and we try to keep everything as clean as we can, though some dust always finds its way in from the industrial area outside. We wear our lab coats even when it’s hot because that’s just how it’s done. The coffee machine in the corner is probably the most used thing we own. We don’t really get walk-in customers since we do technical work, so it’s mostly just the team here. We talk about the weather or the traffic on the way to Kukatpally while we wait for the machines to finish their cycles. It’s steady work. We’ve got shelves full of old files and folders from years ago tucked away in the back. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to wait for the generator to kick in so we don't lose our data. We just keep our heads down and focus on getting the reports done by the end of the week.
