Out in Ida Jeedimetla, things are always moving. Our place is Visakha Solar Systems Pvt. Ltd., located at Plot No 18 in DP Colony. It’s a decent sized plot where we keep all our solar components. The air around here always smells a bit like metal and exhaust from the industrial traffic. We spend most of our hours either in the warehouse area or sitting at the small desks near the front. There’s no big lobby here. You just walk in and you're in the middle of it. We deal with a lot of heavy glass and frames, so we have to be careful where we step. It’s a bit of a maze sometimes with all the boxes stacked up. The team here is small, mostly just locals who know the area well. We don’t do much advertising; people usually just hear about us from someone else in Jeedimetla. The phone rings a lot with people asking about prices or when a delivery is coming. We try to answer everything, but sometimes we’re all out back moving stuff. It’s a hot job, especially in the summer months when the sun is beating down on the roof. We just drink a lot of water and keep the fans going. It’s a practical business for a practical area. We focus on the hardware and making sure things are sturdy enough to last.
