Hydex Chemicals Pvt Ltd is located over at Plot No. 62/1 and 2 in the Cie Gandhinagar area of the Balanagar Expansion. It’s a bit of a mouthful to say the whole address. We have quite a bit of space here with the two plots joined together. It’s an industrial part of the city, so it’s not exactly quiet, but we are used to the noise of the machinery nearby. We work with different chemical products. It’s the kind of job where your hands might get a bit dirty or you might have to wear a heavy apron all day. The office part is just a small corner of the building. We spend most of our time out on the floor or in the storage area. We have a gate that gets stuck sometimes if it rains too much. There are about twelve of us working here currently. We don’t really have a big public face or a fancy website. Most people find us through word of mouth or because they’ve been coming here for years. We try to keep things moving along. If a machine breaks, we fix it ourselves if we can. It’s a straightforward way of making a living. We just show up, do the hours, and head home to our families. It’s steady work and we appreciate having it.
