K J Plastic Technologies is over at D No 6 220/2/C/1 in Mahendra Nagar. If you know Hmt Road in Chintal, you probably know the area gets pretty crowded with all the small shops and workshops. Our place is tucked in there, and the sound of the plastic molding machines is something we’ve just grown used to over the years. It’s a constant hum that lets us know things are working. We make various plastic parts and items, and the floor is usually covered with scraps or bits of raw material. It’s not a showroom. It’s a factory floor where real work happens. We have a few guys who have been with us since we first opened the doors in Mahendra Nagar. We don't have a big marketing department or anyone to write fancy reports. We just look at what needs to be made and we get the machines ready. Chintal is a busy hub, so there is always someone coming by to check on a shipment or ask about a specific mold. Sometimes the machines act up and we have to spend the whole afternoon with a wrench in hand, but that’s just how it is with technology. We keep it simple and keep our heads down. It’s just a regular plastic shop doing what we can with what we have. No more, no less. That is the daily grind for us here.
