Helio Gifts

Helio Gifts is located right on Street No. 12 in Himayath Nagar. If you know the area, you know how tight the parking can be around here during the peak hours. We spend our days surrounded by wrapping paper and all sorts of small gift items that people like to buy. It’s a small shop, but we pack a lot into it. Usually, the mornings are slow, giving us time to dust the shelves and rearrange the displays on the walls. Then in the evening, it gets much busier with people stopping by on their way home from work. We have a lot of regular customers from the local neighborhood who stop in to say hello. Sometimes we run out of tape or certain boxes and have to scramble to get more from the supplier. The shop has a specific smell of cardboard and plastic which we have gotten used to. It's just a few of us working here. We don't have a big fancy system for everything. We write things down in a ledger and keep track of what's selling day by day. Himayath Nagar is a lively place to be with the street vendors and the constant horns. We try to keep the front glass clean, but the street dust makes it a bit of a losing battle. It’s a simple life running a gift store. We see people when they are happy, usually buying something for a birthday. We just keep the lights on and wait for the next person.
