Our unit is located at 11-181/A, which is right near the railway over bridge in Fathe Nagar. You can hear the trains going by all day long. It’s a sound you eventually stop noticing after a while. The building isn't much to look at, just a plain structure that houses all our gear. We do a lot of industrial work here. The floor is usually covered in some kind of dust or shavings from whatever we’re making. It’s a hands-on kind of place. We don't spend much time sitting down. When we do, it’s usually on a plastic chair in the corner with a cold drink. The air gets a bit thick in the summer, but we keep the big doors open to catch whatever breeze there is. We’re a small group. Everyone knows what they’re supposed to do, so we don't need a lot of bosses running around. Sometimes the bridge gets blocked with traffic and we just watch the cars from the gate. We aren't a high-tech company with fancy gadgets. We use tools that have been around for years because they work. It’s a basic operation. We get the raw materials in, do what needs to be done, and send the finished stuff out. It’s simple and it keeps us busy. Fathe Nagar is a gritty place, but it’s home for this business. We’ve had the same sign out front for ages, and even though it’s faded, we aren't in any rush to change it.
