Mahadipatnam is where we have set up Gas India Export And Imports. It is not a place with a lot of high-rise buildings, but it works for what we do. Dealing with exports and imports means we are always looking at clocks and calendars. We spend a lot of time on the phone trying to track where things are and when they might arrive. It is a lot of logistics that most people don't think about. Our office is simple; we have some desks, a couple of computers that have seen better days, and a lot of files. We don't have a big sign or a fancy lobby. If you come by, you will probably find us mid-conversation with someone at the docks or a supplier from another state. Trading like this is mostly about staying organized and dealing with problems as they pop up. Sometimes a shipment is delayed because of the weather, and we just have to wait it out like everyone else. There isn't much to say about us that isn't just about the work. We are a small group and we have been doing this long enough to know the shortcuts. We don't try to impress anyone with big talk. We just want to make sure the containers move and the paperwork is signed. It is a regular job in a regular part of town, and that is how we like it.
