Frequency Electronics

If you come down to 27, Sri Sai Nivas in Prashanth Nagar, you’ll find us easily enough. Frequency Electronics is basically just a room filled with components and testing gear. We’ve been here in the ECIL post area for a good while, and most people around here know where we are. Our desks are usually covered in tiny resistors, capacitors, and circuit boards that we’re trying to figure out. It’s a lot of sitting and staring at small things through magnifying glasses. Sometimes the soldering smoke gets a bit thick, so we have to open the windows to let some air in. We get all sorts of people walking in with things that stopped working, and we do what we can to see what’s wrong. It’s not always a quick fix, and sometimes we have to wait weeks for a specific part to arrive in the mail. The shelves are packed with old equipment we keep for spare parts, just in case. We don’t have a receptionist or anything like that. If you walk in, you’ll probably just see one of us hunched over a bench. We talk more about voltage and circuits than anything else during the day. It’s a quiet kind of work, except when we’re testing something that makes a loud buzz. We just keep at it, day after day, until the job is done.
