Events Shah N Shah Decorators is based in Gandhi Nagar, specifically at Vishnavi Villa on the second floor. We’re right near the Municipal Play Ground, so we hear the kids playing while we’re working on our designs. Our place is full of fabric rolls, lighting strings, and various bits of decor that we use for weddings and parties across Hyderabad. It’s not a polished showroom; it’s a working space where we cut cloth and test out new lighting setups. We’ve been in this building for some time, and the neighbors know us by the stacks of chairs or poles we sometimes have to move in and out. Decorating is a lot harder than it looks—it involves a lot of climbing ladders and tying knots that won't come loose in the wind. We spend most of our nights at different venues, making sure the drapes look right and the stage is steady. It’s a messy business sometimes, with glitter and scraps of ribbon everywhere, but we try to keep the office organized enough to find what we need for the next job. When someone comes to talk to us about an event, we usually just clear off a table and start sketching out ideas. We don’t use any fancy software, just some paper and our experience from doing hundreds of these jobs. Hyderabad is a big city with big weddings, and we’re just glad to be a part of the local scene here in Gandhi Nagar.
